Getting Started

How do I begin?

Complete our online health assessment. The Teddy Meds Medical Team will reach out within 1 business day to schedule a live video consultation with a licensed New York physician. For a full overview of the process, see our How It Works page.

Which states do you serve?

Teddy Meds currently serves residents of New York State only. We do not provide services to residents of any other state. Physicians in our network are independently licensed in New York.

Do I need to meet a physician by video?

Yes. A live video consultation with a licensed New York physician is required before any prescription is issued. During the video visit, you will present a valid government-issued photo ID for identity verification. The physician reviews your assessment, answers your questions, and determines whether treatment is clinically appropriate.

What happens after I submit my health assessment?

The Teddy Meds Medical Team reviews your submission and contacts you within 1 business day to schedule your live video consultation. During that visit, the New York physician will make all prescribing decisions. If additional information is needed before the visit, you will be contacted directly. Eligibility & Treatment

Is treatment guaranteed?

No. All treatment decisions are made solely by a licensed healthcare provider based on your clinical evaluation. Not all patients qualify. A consultation does not guarantee a prescription.

Who makes prescribing decisions?

All prescriptions are issued at the sole discretion of independent physicians (MD/DO) and nurse practitioners who are licensed in New York State. Teddy Meds is a telehealth technology platform and does not practice medicine or employ the physicians in our network.

Will I need lab work?

Some programs — particularly hormone therapy — may require recent lab results before the New York physician can prescribe. If labs are required, you will be informed during intake or your video consultation. You may be able to use existing labs from your primary care provider or be directed to a lab facility. The physician will specify what is needed based on your clinical situation.

Where do the medications come from?

Compounded prescriptions are dispensed through Olympia Pharmaceuticals, a 503B-certified compounding pharmacy operating under USP <795> and USP <797> standards. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved products.

Can I continue treatment indefinitely?

Ongoing treatment is subject to periodic provider review. Prescriptions are issued for defined durations and require re-evaluation to continue. Providers may adjust, pause, or discontinue treatment based on clinical judgment at any time.

Shipping & Delivery

How long does shipping take?

Once your prescription is approved and processed, medications typically ship within 1-3 business days. Delivery takes an additional 3-5 business days depending on your location. Timing may vary by pharmacy and program.

Is shipping discreet?

Yes. All medications are shipped in plain, unmarked packaging with no visible indication of the contents. Temperature-sensitive items are shipped with appropriate cold chain packaging.

Pricing & Billing

How much does the consultation cost?

The live video consultation with a licensed New York physician is $150. This fee is charged only after the physician has completed your video visit and approved treatment. If you are not approved, the consultation fee is not charged. Medication pricing is quoted separately after approval and before any medication is dispensed.

Do you accept insurance?

No. Teddy Meds does not accept insurance. All services are self-pay, and pricing is disclosed in full before any charge is made.

Are there hidden fees?

No. All costs are disclosed upfront. There are no hidden charges, enrollment fees, or surprise billing.

Can I cancel my subscription?

Yes. You may cancel or modify your subscription by contacting us at contact@teddymeds.com or 888-990-7127. To avoid being charged for the next shipment, cancellation or modification requests must be received at least 5 business days before the next scheduled shipment. Shipped medications are non-refundable once dispatched from the pharmacy. See our Refund Policy for full details.

Privacy & Security

How is my health information protected?

All health data is handled in strict compliance with HIPAA. We use TLS/SSL encryption for data transmission and encrypted storage for health records. Your information is never sold to third parties. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Will my provider see my personal information?

Your assigned provider receives only the health information necessary for your clinical evaluation. All providers are bound by HIPAA and medical confidentiality requirements.

Do you sell or share my data?

No. We do not sell patient data. Data is shared only with providers and pharmacy partners as required to deliver your care, and only under appropriate data protection agreements. Our Privacy Policy details all third-party disclosures.
