Frequently Asked Questions
Getting Started
How do I begin?
Complete our online health assessment. A licensed provider will review your information and determine if treatment is appropriate. No in-person visit is required. For a full overview of the process, see our How It Works page.
Which states do you serve?
We serve patients in states where our provider network holds valid medical licenses. Current availability is confirmed during the intake process. We do not provide services in states where our providers are not licensed. Complete the intake form to verify eligibility in your state.
Do I need to schedule an appointment?
No appointment is necessary. You complete a health questionnaire at your convenience, and a licensed provider reviews it independently. You will be contacted if additional information is needed.
What happens after I submit my health assessment?
A licensed provider reviews your submission. If you are a clinical candidate, they will issue a prescription and your order will be sent to a licensed pharmacy. If additional information is needed, you will be contacted directly. See How It Works for the full patient flow.
Eligibility & Treatment
Is treatment guaranteed?
No. All treatment decisions are made solely by a licensed healthcare provider based on your clinical evaluation. Not all patients qualify. A consultation does not guarantee a prescription.
Who makes prescribing decisions?
All prescriptions are issued at the sole discretion of independent, licensed healthcare providers (MDs and NPs). Teddy Meds is a telehealth technology platform and does not practice medicine or employ the providers in our network.
Will I need lab work?
Some programs — particularly hormone therapy — may require recent lab results before a provider can prescribe. If labs are required, you will be informed during the intake process. You may be able to use existing labs from your primary care provider or be directed to a lab facility. Your assigned provider will specify what is needed based on your clinical situation.
Where do the medications come from?
All medications are dispensed through DEA-registered, 503A-certified compounding pharmacies or sourced from licensed US manufacturers. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved products.
Can I continue treatment indefinitely?
Ongoing treatment is subject to periodic provider review. Prescriptions are issued for defined durations and require re-evaluation to continue. Providers may adjust, pause, or discontinue treatment based on clinical judgment at any time.
Shipping & Delivery
How long does shipping take?
Once your prescription is approved and processed, medications typically ship within 1-3 business days. Delivery takes an additional 3-5 business days depending on your location. Timing may vary by pharmacy and program.
Is shipping discreet?
Yes. All medications are shipped in plain, unmarked packaging with no visible indication of the contents. Temperature-sensitive items are shipped with appropriate cold chain packaging.
Pricing & Billing
How much does treatment cost?
Pricing varies by program, medication, and state. Full pricing is shown during the intake process before you commit to any plan. There are no hidden charges — what you see is what you pay.
Do you accept insurance?
Currently, we do not accept insurance. All services are self-pay. Pricing is disclosed in full before you proceed with any program.
Are there hidden fees?
No. All costs are disclosed upfront before you proceed. There are no hidden charges, enrollment fees, or surprise billing.
Can I cancel at any time?
Yes. You may cancel your subscription or discontinue treatment at any time. Cancellation and refund eligibility depend on the status of your order and prescription. Contact us at support@teddymeds.com for assistance with cancellations or to ask about your specific situation.
Privacy & Security
How is my health information protected?
All health data is handled in strict compliance with HIPAA. We use TLS/SSL encryption for data transmission and encrypted storage for health records. Your information is never sold to third parties. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Will my provider see my personal information?
Your assigned provider receives only the health information necessary for your clinical evaluation. All providers are bound by HIPAA and medical confidentiality requirements.
Do you sell or share my data?
No. We do not sell patient data. Data is shared only with providers and pharmacy partners as required to deliver your care, and only under appropriate data protection agreements. Our Privacy Policy details all third-party disclosures.
